The above flowers are very common species found in the Valley of Flowers.  Their common name is Balsam (Dog Flower). The pink colours of these flowers decorate the whole valley in pink hue.

These are another common species found in large numbers in the Valley of Flowers. Their English Name is Himalayan Cinquefoil and the Botanical name is Potentilla Atrosanguine. They are also found in yellow colour. Below is a yellow Potentilla.

The above is a full-bodied plant with a terminal cylindrical clusters of many yellow flowers. They generally grow in the high altitude at 3600m – 4800m.

The Himalayan Blue Poppy is famous among the Himalayan high altitude flowers. It is also known as “The Queen of Himalayan Flowers”. They are also called Neela Posta.

I shot all the above images with Nikon D7000, 18-140mm Lens except one or two which I shot with my mobile phone camera.
